El castell d’Olocau. El seu derrocament. 1464

Resum

S’hi repassa la llarga sèrie de conflictes sobre la conservació del castell olocauí, causa última de l’annexió d’Olocau als Termes Generals de Morella. L’article no oblida el 1310 quan el rei administra el castell directament però es centra en l’enderrocament del castell d’Olocau fet sobre les ordres del justícia de Morella Tomàs Guerau l’any 1464, en plena guerra amb Castella (1431) jurídicament discutit per Olocau, a causa de la suposada o real militància enemiga de l’aldea. Ja el 1435, amb el rei a Nàpols, els jurats de Morella intentaran apoderar-se del castell.

Abstract

We make a revision of the long series of conflicts concerning the conservations of the castle of Olocau to the Termes Generals de Morella. This article does not omit the year 1310 when the king manages the castle directly, but it is centred on the demolition of the castle of Olocau by order of the mayor of Morella Tomàs Guerau in 1464, during the Catalan Civil War, using a privilege, dated from the war against Castille (1431), whose legality was contested by Olocau, because of the supposed or real militancy of the village with the enemy. As early as 1435 (the king was in Naples) the council of Morella tried to get hold of the castle.
