Resum

Joaquim Garcia Girona és una de les figures de la literatura catalana feta al País Valencià que, en els darrers anys, ha rebut una certa atenció per part dels estudiosos de diferents especialitats filològiques. Aquest capellà, poeta i erudit, autor entre d’altres obres del poema èpic de tall verdaguerià Seidia (1920) i del Vocabulari del Maestrat (1922…) s’enquadra en un context d’efervescència cultural i política del valencianisme de preguerra i en uns projectes vehiculats a partir de la labor de la Societat Castellonenca de Cultura. El treball d’Òscar Pérez Silvestre, un més de la sèrie que ha dedicat al tema, descriu les relacions literàries que Garcia Girona mantingué amb Morella arran de les celebracions del Sexenni. A més, s’hi ofereixen i s’hi analitzen breument alguns dels textos que publicà en la revista Vallivana entre 1904 i 1916.

Abstract

Joaquim Garcia Girona is one of the figures of the Catalan literature formed in the Valencian Country that, in hte last few years has received a certain attention from those who study the different philological specialists. This priest, poet and savant, author among other works of the epic poem (influenced by Verdaguer) Seidia (1920) and the Vocabulari del Maestrat (1922…), is placed in a context of cultural and political effervescence of the Valencian Movement before the Civil War and also in some projects transmitted from the works of the Societat castellonenca de Cultura. The work by Òscar Pérez Silvestre, one more in the series that he has dedicated to this subject, describes the literary relations that Garcia Girona kept with Morella as a result of the Sexenni celebrations. Furthermore, we can find in it some of the texts published in the magazine Vallivana between 1904 and 1916 briefly analysed.
